The Augusta of Race Tracks
If you ever get the opportunity, take your friends and family to Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. George Barber has built a magnificent racing destination. There is no other facility like it. It has the look and feel of a PGA golf course. It's just beautiful.

Jeff Ray, Mark Whitt, their awesome staff, as well as their spectator event promoters at Zoom Motorsports do a fantastic job managing the place.
They have the largest motorcycle and vintage Lotus car collection on the planet, and the museum and race track are one of a kind. We go there a few times every year and see something new every trip.

Yes, the back of the guardrail is landscaped all the way around the 2.38 mile track. It's that kind of attention to detail that separates the folks in Birmingham from their competition. They even tiered the paddock with multiple levels so that competitors can all have a nice view while in their pit areas.
They host IndyCar, Grand Am, AMA Superbike, and a variety of vintage and club weekends like NASA, SCCA, WERA, and Sportbike Track Time. The facility is the home of the Porsche Sport Driving School and the Kevin Schwantz Superbike School. Porsche alone does 100 days a year.

When you go, plan on spending a few days. You could spend a lifetime in the museum and not see everything. If you take your family on a walk around the place, you'll see that it feels like you're in a park or a botanical garden. They have a Martin bird sanctuary and lakes full of bass, bluegill, and crappie (wish we could fish 'em!).

We can't say enough about the people and the facility. The track has a fun and challenging layout with awesome twisty's and great elevation changes. Words and pictures can't accurately describe what they have accomplished. Just go and see for yourself. You'll share our amazement.
